Tonight Derek and I watched the Bone's Season 2 finale, for anyone who watches it - a quick reminder- Angela and Jack Hodgin's try to get married for the first time only to find out that Angela is already married. Anyway, what is the point to this story? I'm getting there, I promise.
Angela's Dad is play by none other than, Billy Gibbons, one of the singers and guitarist in ZZ Top. They played some ZZ Top songs, and I realized that Derek and I haven't started piecing together what we what the DJ or Band to play. I know this may be minor to some, but music is huge to us. Every good party needs good music. So tonight ZZ Top's "Gimme All Your Lovin'" made the music list.
Anyone else have any suggestions? I know that Sean has already made his request on our wedding webpage Purple Rain. Let me know. Because of tonight, a list of possibilities is starting!!

Pages
From the beginning I've putting all sorts of stuff into my journal; Ideas. Pictures. Sayings. Quotes. Websites.
You name it, I've got it!
Though there are MANY more pages that I didn't photograph, here is what we still like or is still in the running from the journal...
Find your perfect match! We've been collecting matches from different places, but if you see any grab some! I'm hoping to hit the jackpot on vintage matches while yard sale shopping this year. You never know!
Awww, Landon's very cool ring bearing book. I'm really excited about this one. I just have to find the best book to put our rings in.
Fun socks and great photos.
These are our lanterns we bought! :) Only, I'm going to spray paint them different hues of blue. :)

Let the blogging begin!
This blog is not only to help me organize my ideas, but also for my bridesmaids and Derek's and my family.
As Derek and I put ideas together, it will be a good place to brainstorm, and just stay on the same page.
I'm pretty sure that the blog will hold more images than text, and I'm okay with that. My journal is getting full, and it's time to be a bit more organized. The first of February is in a few days, so that leaves just over 8 months to plan a wedding!

The date- October 1st, 2011
An amazing photographer- Mr. Otto Haring
The perfect venue- The Hemingway Estate, in Key West, Florida.
A yummy caterer- Small Chef at Large
...but there are still a thousand details to work out.
So for now, I'll organize ideas, and finish on our Save the Dates!
As Derek and I put ideas together, it will be a good place to brainstorm, and just stay on the same page.
